SoftLore Book of Mormon Resources
Latter-day saints have been counseled not only to read the Book of Mormon, but to study and apply its teachings to our daily lives.
"There is a power in the book which will begin to flow into your lives
the moment you begin a serious study of the book. You will find
greater power to resist temptation. You will find the power to avoid
deception. You will find the power to stay on the strait and narrow
path.... When you begin to hunger and thirst after those words, you
will find life in greater and greater abundance."
Ezra Taft Benson
One of the best ways to benefit from a study of the scriptures is to memorize those verses that impress us as we read. Elder Richard G. Scott has said, "I suggest that you memorize scriptures that touch your heart and fill your soul with understanding. When scriptures are used as the Lord has caused them to be recorded, they have intrinsic power that is not communicated when paraphrased."
There isn't a better tool for helping you memorize and learn scriptures than Scriptorian. Because it includes the entire LDS scripture library, you can easily select and learn any verse you want. If you do not have Scriptorian, click here to download the free 30 day evaluation version and enter to win a free copy.
The Scriptorian software includes the Book of Mormon scripture mastery verses, or it can be downloaded from our web site. In addition to this study list, chapter summaries can be downloaded and used with Scriptorian as well. These summaries describe key events and doctrines in each chapter. The study list can be used as an "outline" for the serious student to learn in detail, or as a fun trivia quiz.
You may also want to try the Scriptorian Applet to learn the seminary scripture mastery verses or test yourself on identifying the correct chapter for various events and quotes.
