Often, when people download software, they forget where on their hard drive they have saved it. In case that has happened, please follow these simple steps to find the Articles of Faith demo version of Scriptorian that you just downloaded. The name of the file is sc30demo.exe.

To locate it automatically, do the following:

1. Click the "Start" button on the Windows task bar (usually in the bottom left corner).

2. Choose "Find", then "Files or Folders..."

3. You will be asked the name of the file to find. In the space labeled: "Named:"
type the name of the file - sc30demo.exe

That's it! After a moment, the named file will appear in the Find window.

Install:
Double-click the file icon to start the install. The WinZip Self Extractor dialog will appear. We recommend that you accept the options shown. Proceed with the file installation by pressing the Unzip button. The WinZip utility will extract all the demo files to the destination directory. If you did not change this setting, the directory that the demo software will be installed to is "c:\sc30demo\".

When WinZip completes the file copy process, it will display a message indicating the files unzipped successfully. When you continue, WinZip will launch the demo version of Scriptorian for you.

Trouble shooting:
If you get an error complaining about a corrupted zip file or possibly a truncated file this is caused by a faulty download. In this case, you need to download the program again.

Running the program:
When you first install the demo files, the WinZip utility will launch Scriptorian automatically at the completion of the install. To run the program at another time after this, follow these steps:

1) 1. Click the "Start" button on the Windows task bar (usually in the bottom left corner).
2) Choose Run from the menu
3) In the Open field type "c:\sc30demo\scrip30.exe" (without the quotes) If you changed the destination to some other than "c:\sc30demo" when you installed, then you will need to change what you enter in this field to match where you installed the files to.
4) Press the OK button to start Scriptorian

NOTE: The help file included with this demo version is the complete help file that is included with the full retail version of Scriptorian. This was included so that you can see what features are included in the full version that are disabled in the demo version. However, because of the limitations of the demo version, you will not be able to execute all of the steps of the tutorial and do other things indicated in the help file.
