Many of the questions that are asked by users have answers in the on-line help included with Scriptorian. If you cannot find the answer you need on this page or by using the on-line help, please contact us at Support@SoftLore.com

I tried to download one of the demo programs - but it didn't work?
The possbile solutions to this are much too long for this page. Please go to our Download Troubleshooting page.

What is the registration number that Scriptorian is asking for?
The evaluation version of Scriptorian can be used for 30 days. When the time limit approaches, or has been exceeded, Scriptorian prompts for registration information. This registration information is then used to "convert" the evaluation version of Scriptorian to a registered version and remove the time limit. The registration information is received when you purchase Scriptorian.

How can I determine where Scriptorian was installed?
From the Scriptorian main menu, select Help | About. The About dialog shows the program date, program location, and expiration date of evaluation versions. In the retail version it shows your registration name and code.

How do I stop Pop Up mode?
To stop Scriptorian from running in Pop Up mode when you start up your computer, go to the Pop Up tab of the Options dialog and remove the check from the Run Scriptorian in Pop Up mode at computer start up check box.
If you just want the pop up window to go away for the moment, press the Later button on the Quote It or Chase window tool bar.

How do I change the Pop Up interval?
To adjust the time between Pop Up sessions, go to the Pop Up tab of the Options dialog and change the value for the Minutes between Pop Ups option. You can adjust the interval from as little as 5 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours.

Can I print out my study list and study items?
Yes. As of Scriptorian 2.1 you now have the ability to print from study list, Quote It or Chase windows. This means you can take verses with you to study or print out material for a classroom setting. Please see Scriptorian's "Printing" help topic for more details.

How do I make my own study list?
You create a new study list by opening the Select Study List dialog and then pressing the Create button. This will display the Create/Edit Study List dialog where you can name the new study list and add study items. Scriptorian's "How Do I?" helps can guide you through the steps for creating study lists and adding study items. The "How Do I?" helps are accessed from the Help menu.

How do I create my own study items?
You can create your own study items either from the Library Manager dialog or the Create/Edit Study List dialog. In either case, you will need to have a user library available to save the study items to. Scriptorian's "How Do I?" help topic "Add study items to a library" can guide you through both methods of creating study items.

Why do the graphics look rough and jagged?
Check the screen settings for your computer's monitor. This problem is usually caused by the screen settings being set to a font size other than small. If you change to the small font size for your screen settings, the problem should go away.

Why is some of the text on the tool bar buttons "cut off"?
Again, this is usually a result of the font size setting in the screen settings for your computer's monitor. If you change to the small font size for your screen settings, the problem should go away.
