Tips: Adjusting Quote It to meet your needs

How well do you want to memorize something? Do you want to memorize an item word for word, being able to recite it when necessary? Or are you simply looking to remember its basic content without repeating it verbatim?

The best way to start learning a new item is to use Quote It's learn mode. Doing a few cycles through learn mode over a few days will accelerate your retention of the item you are learning. After using learn mode to memorize the new item to your satisfaction, you can then use Quote It's Fill in the blank or Complete fill in modes for regular review. The method you use depends on your learning style and the degree to which you want to remember the content. You may find that Fill in the blank mode, after adjusting the percentage of words left blank (in the Options dialog), meets your needs for retaining what you have learned. Or you may find that you require Quote It's Complete fill in mode to remember a verse or quote verbatim. Whatever your memorization goal is, or your learning style, Quote It can be adjusted to satisfy it.
