Tips: Spelling words

Scriptorian's Chase mode can be used to help learn spelling words. When someone brings home a list of words to learn, or perhaps is preparing for a spelling bee, just create a study list of the words to be learned.

When adding the words as study items in the list, enter the word as the reference for the study item. For the content, enter the definition of the word, or perhaps a clue that will assist in identifying the word. Additionally, you may want to set a Linx keyword to show the pronunciation of the word. (If you need assistance creating study list items or adding Linx keywords, use Scriptorian's "How Do I?" help to guide you )

Once the study list is set up, go into Chase to learn the words. The first time through, it might be helpful to run in multiple choice mode in order to become familiar with the definitions used to identify the words. After that, use Chase Fill In mode to actually type in the word to be spelled. Not only will this help in learning how to spell words, but associating the definition with the word will also help build vocabulary as well.
