How To: Printing basics
With version 2.1, Scriptorian allows you to print the contents of a Study List, or specific views from Quote It and Chase. Scriptorian determines what will be printed by which window is currently active.
Print Study list: When printing from a study list, you have several options available to you. You can print only the currently selected item or all of the items in the study list. You may choose to print out each study item with both its reference and content, or just list the reference of each study item in the list. You can also print out the Quote It and Chase statistics for each item in the list. You can also print to a 3x5 card format to make it easy to create note cards to study with when away from the computer.
To print information from a study list, first select the study list you want to print from (if you have several Scriptorian windows open, make sure that the study list window you want is selected). Then bring up the Scriptorian Print dialog by selecting File, then Print from the main menu, or by clicking on the Print button on the tool bar. Once the dialog is displayed, select the appropriate options for what you want to print out and which format you would like. If you need more information about each of the options, use the right mouse button to click on the option in question to display more information about what it means. When everything is set up the way you want, press the Print button to send it to your printer.
Print Quote It: When printing from a Quote It window, Scriptorian will print the current study item as it is displayed in the window. This allows you to print out the study item in the fill in the blank mode
that it is displayed in. This can be a useful tool when teaching. You
also have the option to print it out in 3x5 card format.
Print Chase: Like Quote It, Scriptorian will print the current study item as it is displayed in the Chase window. In this way, you can
print out an item's content with the multiple choice options for
selecting the matching reference. Again, you can print out the
information in full page or 3x5 card format.
Remember that Scriptorian includes extensive help to guide you through the features mentioned here. For example, to get printing help, just select Help from the main menu, then How Do I? and Print. From the help window that appears, select "Print from a study list", "Print from Chase", or "Print from Quote It", to get step by step instructions.
