Tips: Study Item Order in a List
You can control the order that study items appear in a study list by prepending numbers to the study item reference. Why would you want to do this? Perhaps you have a scripture chain that you would rather have displayed in the chain's sequence rather than the standard alphabetical order. So instead of having the list sorted normally by name like: "Alma 1:1", "D&C 1:1", "Mark 1:1", "Moroni 1:1", "Romans 1:1" (obviously not a real scripture chain!), by adding numbers to the reference you could make it sort as: "1. Mark 1:1", "2. D&C 1:1", "3. Moroni 1:1", "4. Romans 1:1", "5. Alma 1:1".
Some other instances where sort order is important could be: learning study items in a specific sequence with Quote It's "Retrieve in Sorted Order" feature (such as a talk broken down into smaller parts), printing items in a specific order (perhaps for a lesson presentation), or just viewing the items in desired order (like the top 100 scriptures study list being ordered by frequency of use).
How do you use Scriptorian? Have you come up with some ideas that may
be useful for others? Please feel free to share them with us.
