How To: Pop Up options
There doesn't seem to be a middle ground when it comes to
Scriptorian's Pop Up feature. Many people have told us that the Pop Up
feature is their favorite. On the other hand, some people have
indicated that it is a bother and do not want to use the Pop Up
feature. So this newsletter will hopefully cover some Pop Up settings
that will satisfy both camps.
The Pop Up feature's parameters are set in the main Options dialog.
You can access the Options dialog by clicking on the Options button
on the main tool bar. Once the Options dialog is displayed, select the
Pop Up tab to access the Pop Up options. If you prefer not to run Pop
Up automatically, just de-select the Run Scriptorian in Pop Up mode
at computer start up option located near the bottom of the dialog.
This way you can start Pop Up when you want without having Scriptorian
always running in Pop Up mode.
In the Pop Up tab of the Options dialog, you have many options for
determining how Pop Up will run. You can set it to show only Quote It
or Chase windows, or set it to switch between the two modes. You can
even set a study list for Quote It and a different study list for
Chase. You can also specify how many items to do each time Pop Up is
activated and how much time to wait between Pop Up sessions. If you
need more information about these settings, just click on the Help
button for more details.
Remember that Scriptorian includes extensive help to guide you through
its features. For example, to get Pop Up help, just select Help from
the main menu, then How Do I? and then select Pop Up mode, to get
step by step instructions.
