Tips: Chase Chapter Only

Why do you want to remember where scriptures are located? Usually so you can find them again and refer them to others. Obviously, Scriptorian's Chase feature was designed to help you remember where your favorite verses are. That way, when you redline them on the pages of your scriptures, you will be able to find them again.

Normally, Chase's fill in entry mode requires you to know the entire reference of a verse. However, you may only be interested in getting to the right page of your scriptures and you can find your highlighted verse from there. In this case, you don't want to worry about the verse number, only which chapter it is found in. If this is your goal, then you want to take advantage of Chase's chapter only feature.

You can set Chase to operate in chapter only mode by selecting the Book, chapter only option in the Chase tab of the Options dialog (for a general setting) or the Study List Options dialog (for a study list specific setting). This setting only affects fill in entry mode- if you normally use multiple choice mode, you will not see a difference. Now when you run Chase in fill in mode, you only need to enter the book and chapter to get a correct answer. For example, if the full reference was "Matthew 5:48", if you enter "Matthew 5", you get full credit!
