Tips: Registering Palm Scriptorian
If you purchase Windows Scriptorian and install it to your computer,
the installation program will prompt you for a registered name to use
with your program. Also during the installation, if you have a Palm
device, you are given the option to install Palm Scriptorian. When
this happens, Palm Scriptorian will be installed and registered the
next time you hot sync.
But what happens if you have been using an evaluation version of Palm
Scriptorian and now, having purchased Scriptorian, you want to
register your Palm Scriptorian as well? Or what if you didn't have a
Palm device when you originally installed Scriptorian - but now you do?
With the recent enhancement to Windows Scriptorian, there are now two
ways to register Palm Scriptorian.
The manual method has always been available for registered Palm
Scriptorian and is detailed on the Palm Scriptorian Guide:
Registration page.
Basically, you take the registration information found in the Windows
Scriptorian's About dialog and enter it in to the Palm Scriptorian
registration dialog. Once you do that, the time limit is removed and
you are the proud owner of a registered copy of Palm Scriptorian.
The second method, added in version 3.0.2.4 of Windows Scriptorian, is
accessed from the About dialog (select Help, then About from the main
menu to access this dialog). For registered versions of Scriptorian,
you will notice that there is now a Register Palm button included on
the dialog. Click on this button to bring up the Palm Registration
dialog. If you have multiple Palm users on your computer, you can even
select which Palm you are registering. Once you select the user to be
registered, click OK and you will receive the message that your device
will be registered the next time you hotsync it. And that's all there
is to it!
How do you use Scriptorian? Have you come up with some ideas that may
be useful for others? Please share them through the feedback page or e-mail them to us.
