What are the requirements for running Scriptorian on the Palm?
Palm Scriptorian is compatible with all Palm devices running Palm OS version 3.10 or later. You will also need about 33Kb of memory for the program and additional memory for each of the study lists you want to install. As an example, the Articles of Faith study list is about 14 Kb and seminary scripture master study lists are roughly 50 Kb each.
Will this run on my PocketPC?
Unfortunately it won't. However, we would like to know if you are interested in a Pocket PC version of Scriptorian. Please send us an e-mail to let us know your interest.
What is the difference between a registered version and evaluation version?
An evaluation version of Scriptorian allows you to try the fully functional product for a period of time prior to purchasing it. When the evaluation period expires, Palm Scriptorian will only function in a limited manner- specifically, only free study lists will be accessible and all others will be locked.
When you purchase Scriptorian, you then receive a registered version of Scriptorian, or the registration code necessary to "convert" an evaluation copy to a registered copy and remove the time limit.
How do I register my Palm version of Scriptorian?
If you have purchased Scriptorian, you will then have available to you a registration code which you can use to register Palm Scriptorian. The steps for manually registering Palm Scriptorian can be found in the Palm Scriptorian Guide. When you purchase and install the registered version of Windows Scriptorian, it should also set up your Palm device to be installed with a registered copy of Palm Scriptorian.
Can I buy the Palm version without the Windows version?
Currently Palm Scriptorian is bundled with Windows Scriptorian and cannot be purchased separately. Palm Scriptorian is an extension of the full Windows Scriptorian product and is much more useful and flexible when used with the Windows application
How do I load different Scriptorian study lists on my Palm?
Using Windows Scriptorian version 3.0 (or greater), you can export any study list to your Palm. To do this, open the study list you want to load on your Palm device, then select Export Study List from the Study List menu. In the Export Study List dialog, make sure that Export as Palm compatible file option is set, as well as the Install to palm on next Hotsync option. You should select a filename for the export file that is not longer than eight characters. It is not necessary to specify a filename extension. Once the file is exported (by pressing the OK button), all you need to do is hot sync your Palm and the study list is now on your hand held.
How do I delete study lists from my palm?
To delete a study list from your Palm device, from the Study List view, tap on the "note" to the right of the study list you want to delete. This should bring up the Study List Info dialog. In this dialog you can then tap on the Delete button to remove the study list from your Palm.
Will the Windows Scriptorian installation also install the Palm application?
Beginning with Windows Scriptorian version 3.0, the installation program will set up the Palm Scriptorian files so that they will be installed on your Palm device the next time you hot sync. However, if the installation program fails to detect a palm system on your computer, or you have multiple palm users on the same machine, then you may be required to install the files manually. For more information for installing the files manually, please visit the Palm Scriptorian Install page.
[Note: The installation program will always copy the Palm Scriptorian files into the "Palm Files" directory found under the Scriptorian directory- normally "c:\softlore\scriptorian"]
What are the differences between the Palm and Windows versions of Scriptorian?
