Registered vs. Evaluation mode
The Palm Scriptorian application will run in both evaluation and registered mode. In evaluation mode, the program will have full functionality during the evaluation period. However, the application needs to be registered in order to have full functionality beyond this time. Otherwise, once the evaluation period expires, only the free study lists will be accessible and all others will be locked.
You can find out if your Palm Scriptorian is registered by looking at the About dialog. If Palm Scriptorian is running in evaluation mode, it will look like the screen shot above, showing you how much time is left in the evaluation period or indicating that the period has expired. You can get to the About dialog from the Palm menu by tapping on the menu icon, then tap on Help, then About Scriptorian.
If you have purchased Windows Scriptorian 3.0, the Windows installation program should prepare Palm Scriptorian application for installation to your Palm device the next time you hotsync. At the same time it should take care of registering Palm Scriptorian on your Palm device. However, in some cases it may be necessary to manually enter the registration information. The same registration information used by Windows or Mac Scriptorian is used for Palm Scriptorian. To access this information, look in the application's about dialog. You will see your registered name and a registration code in the lower right corner of the dialog. You can use this information to manually register Palm Scriptorian if necessary.
Registering Palm Scriptorian
Palm Scriptorian can be registered through the Registration dialog. This dialog can be accessed from the About dialog as shown above (if in evaluation mode) or from the Palm menu by tapping on Options, then tap on Register Scriptorian:
Enter your registered name and registration code as it appears in the Windows or Mac Scriptorian's About dialog, or as you received it in an e-mail from SoftLore when you purchased Scriptorian on-line. Because the registration information is case sensitive, it is important that it be entered exactly as it was received.
When you have entered the registration information, tap the Register button to complete the process. If you successfully completed the registration process, a message will be displayed confirming the registration. Otherwise, you will be returned to the Registration dialog.
Registering Palm Scriptorian will re-enable any study lists that are loaded, but were disabled as a result of the evaluation period expiring. Also, once registered, the About dialog will display your registration information:
